World's Greatest Turkey Bacon Sandwich Recipe

I never know where inspiration for a QuickBite will come from and this was no exception. I was sitting at home watching "Spanglish" starring Adam Sandler and in the movie Adam plays a chef extraordinaire with an incredible twist on the classic BLT sandwich. This is one of those dishes that's so tasty and simple that once you try it you may just declare it as "The World's Greatest Sandwich".

Ingredients Servings: 2 Change to: US Metric (bacon, bread, butter, cheese, egg, lettuce, pepper, salt, tomato, turkey) 2 slices of sourdough bread 4 strips of turkey bacon an egg 1 slice of light muenster cheese butter lettuce 1 tbsp. light mayo tomato slices salt and pepper to taste Directions   "The World's Greatest Sandwich" 1. Lightly toast your sourdough bread slices on both sides (about a minute on each side). 2. Place a slice of muenster cheese on one of the toasts and set aside. 3. On the second slice of toast spread your light mayonaise, lettuce, cooked turkey bacon, tomato slices and season with salt and pepper. 4. Place your cheese covered toast under your broiler for a minute just so the cheese gets nice and melted. 5. Fry your egg over easy and slide on top of your tomatoes. 6. Cover the sandwich with your cheese melted toast and enjoy!! A BLT by any other name... The first recorded recipe for what we know as the BLT was in the 1929 book Seven Hundred Sandwiches by Florence A. Cowles where it was referred to as a "bacon sandwich." The book also mentions a "Bacon Salad Sandwich" and a "Baconian Sandwich."
